About

We've been here since the 40s.

Venice Port Complex was established in the 1940s to serve oil and gas development within a 5 to 10 mile radius. As Gulf of Mexico shelf activity grew, so did we, hosting Fortune 500 operators including Shell, Chevron, Gulf Oil, and Halliburton over the decades.

Today the complex includes developed and undeveloped property along the river, with thousands of linear feet of berthing, fuel facilities, warehouses, office space, and crane access. Sites have been progressively elevated for flood resilience, and the river depth here is roughly 50 feet, with on-site water depth between 15 and 35 feet.

Two world-class sport and recreational fishing marinas operate inside the complex. Multiple natural gas pipelines traverse or cross nearby, and from Venice south to the Gulf there are no height restrictions, an unusual and valuable trait for shipbuilding and large-vessel work.

Ownership

Venice Port Complex is privately owned and board-governed. Day-to-day leasing and operations are handled by a dedicated on-site team, with the board setting direction and approving higher-level decisions.

What we want to be known for

We want to be in the room when site selectors and corporate real estate teams discuss Gulf Coast industrial and maritime projects. The river opportunities below New Orleans are not as well known as they should be. That ends here.
